Hi, Cathy here. Welcome to my rookie runner story! Before December 2005 this 38 year old wife and mum only ran for the bus and thought 'sport' wasn't for her. Inspired by mega-fundraiser Jane Tomlinson who became an Ironman triathlete despite a terminal cancer diagnosis, I decided to run the Marathon for Refuge, which supports women and children fleeing domestic violence.
